An homage to brevity

On this, the 146th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address it seems fitting to pay homage to brevity.

Edward Everett, President of Harvard and leading thinker and orator, preceded Lincoln that day.  Everett spoke for 2 hours.  Lincoln’s address lasted 2 minutes.  Who can remember what Everrett said.  Who can forget what Lincoln said.

Perhaps Lincoln was a tweeter for his day…
